A big party on Friday the 13th of November 1990 celebrated the opening of the now legendary HAFEN gay bar in the Schöneberg district of Berlin. Thanks to its unusual design, open atmosphere and the crew behind the bar, the HAFEN became a popular meeting-point for gay boys, girls and their friends from around the world. It seems some of the best parties still take place in this corner of Berlin that was notoriously wild back in the days of ‘Cabaret’!
